THE EARTH IS IN OUR HANDS
The world is now in the era of
advanced technology. New gadgets, machines and inventions are now arising. Industrialization
and advancement of lifestyle are very rapid these days. These make the life of
human better and more comfortable.
However, these advancements have also
disadvantages. One of these is pollution; air pollution due to large amount of
gas emitted by vehicles and machines; water pollution from factories and garbage
thrown in rivers and seas; and land pollution due to large amount of plastics, Styrofoam
and other non-biodegradable inventions of man. These cause many problems in our
ecosystem. Some animals from the ecosystem might extinct because of pollution.
And the worst thing that may happen is the abnormal rising of the temperature
of the earth called the Global Warming.
But all of us are responsible for
taking care of our environment. God created us to be stewards of nature. We
must minimize the use of plastics, Styrofoam and other harmful chemicals that
may harm our environment. We must also take care of our plants and trees which
purifies the air we breathe. We can fight Global Warming; the Earth is in our
hands.
